Alright. I know we've all been watching these events as they transpire. Universe DW-RTD has had some buzzing of late. There, "death" no longer exists. Further, these is this rising demagogue in this Oswald Danes.
However, I've been watching the remnant of Torchwood 3, Jack Harkness and Gwen Cooper. It seems they've uncovered some business lurking behind the shadows of this "Miracle Day".
So, who is behind this?
If so, what is their goal?
How does Jack factor in?
Oswald's rise has been meteoric.

- Is it the illuminati? After all, their logo is a rotating triangle, a simplified version of the pyramid of the All-Seeing Eye.
If so, what is their goal?

- World domination is trite, but a typical illuminati goal. Eternal life is another classical one. However, in the process of perfecting their humanity, they need a way of controlling the prototypes. Hence, the categories of life follow.
How does Jack factor in?

- Much like Children of Earth, I think he had a hand in the creation of this "miracle". Someone studied the singularity created by Rose in Jack and perhaps harnessed part of it, the eternal life aspect.
Oswald's rise has been meteoric.

- He's going to be used, but he's starting to gain his own following. It's possible he will turn on his current masters and ruin their plans. He's practically feeding on the attention and grandeur the people are supplying him, just like any other fanatical leader.
