Star Wars: The Old Republic

As we all know, the real reason production stopped for a while on the website was we were too excited about the upcoming release of the Star Wars MMO to get any work done. So I thought I would start a thread about that.

While we count the minutes until we can start playing, I just found out we can go ahead now and create a guild. First off we need a guild leader. We all know how badly that worked out when Burns did it (heheh) so I nominate myself as guild leader. Anyone else want it?

Next we need a cool guild name. We could (with Lakota's permission) do Guardians of the Throne. Or Rivals. Or we could come up a more Star Warsy name. Any suggestions?

Also one last item, are we going to start on a PvP server or PvE server? I think a PvE server would be fun, or we could try both.

So since we can't work on the website until we get this out of our system, lets open the floor and have a chat!

I don't mind not being in charge and you are the most Star Warsy....(is that a word?) Gott or or RoTT would work. ( I prefer Rivals of the Throne for our sith side.) PVE all the way. ohh! wait I've got it!

I really like Wookie Skinners.

So far the leading names are Rivals of the Throne and Wookie Skinners. A close third is Booze Appreciation Society, but I'm not sure that one would be allowed. Sure you can skin a sentient race, but drink! Never!

Any other ideas? We will need to have a Skype party soon to firm up (heheheh I said firm) some concepts.

Now that I'm thinking clearly ( after drinking a few cups of wine.. yeah I said cups, I'm classy like that ), more guild name suggestions:

I am going to preorder my copy this weekend and go ahead and try and create a guild. So far the best name seems to be Wookie Skinners. Worst case we can always change it or make a new guild. Any last minute ideas/comments?

I have pre ordered my copy. While I still like Wookie Skinners as a guild name, I like Rivals of the Throne better. It will remind us, I think, of our origins on EQ and Wow. I talked with the Princess and she gave her blessing, so unless there are any objections, our new PvE Sith Empire guild name will be Rivals of the Throne.

Pre Ordered also, why can't I play now damnit. I've beaten the latest Deus Ex game and Dead Island ( yes I used cheats, why do you ask ). I guess I'll have to level up my Pally to 85 until SWTOR is playable.

I have been sitting in front of my computer for weeks now trying to log in. If this keeps up I may send a terse email.

But I don't want to be hasty, so I guess I will give it another month. But that's it! If I can't log in by then, I am definitely going to think about sending an email of complaint!

If you preordered go ahead and sign up for the guild, Rivals of the Throne. We need at least 4 (so far we have 2) to make sure it is there when we go live.

SWTOR is doing site maintenance so I can't get to the Guild section right now. I get it done later today hopefully. On the upside, I've been upgraded from Ewok to Jar Jar.

I have applied, but i still can't log in yet. Darn patch days.

Since we are going live in a few days we need to make sure (obviously) we are on the same server. We all agree on a PvE server I believe. Don't think it makes much difference if its an East coast or West coast server. At random I had picked the something Hand server (Shadow Hand?) Unless someone has a better choice lets go with that.

As soon as it goes live I will post the name of our server here just in case they change the names or something.

This is it people! Get your Doritos and Mountain Dew supplies ready, take some days off from work and put a pillow in your chair, we got some game playing to do!

Ok, substitute beer for Mt Dew and substitute more beer for Doritos and I think I'm ready. No that's not right, can't just function off of beer alone. I should probably also get a slice of bread or a carrot or something too.
